Hi Folks
Well, I’m a professional image maker and have been since 1982 when I left photo-college where I had been studying hard for 3 years (at least it got me a 98% distinction, three national competition wins, and some other awards - so it was worth the effort).
After a few months assisting in London I opened my own studio shooting fashion but quickly decided it was more creative doing roomsets and lifestyle. This was nice and lucrative but when the recession was at its hottest, in 1991 I left London behind and moved with my then wife to France. After a couple of years running large format monochrome workshops, the opportunity came to get into books. So, my wife and I moved back to the UK and were commissioned to do several books on decorative stencilling. My wife was the stencil artist and I the photographer. This was very good but I set my sights on doing a practical photography book.
Well, here I am having so far done seven practical books, six on Photoshop techniques, and still loving teaching private courses and residential workshops. Now I devote much of my time to helping people via the Internet which has opened up the whole world!
